About the lodge

Situated in a clearing above the banks of the Retaruke River Blue Duck Lodge looks out onto breathtaking views of native bush. This self-catering lodge offers a comfortable base for relaxing and the many outdoor activities on offer nearby.

 

Blue Duck Lodge can accommodate up to eight people. There are two bedrooms on the ground floor; a superking (or twin) and a queen. Above the lounge is a mezzanine floor; it sleeps four people on two single beds (which can be converted to a superking) and a futon. The open plan lounge and dining area is furnished with a large farmhouse dining table and chairs made from beautiful Macrocarpa timber and has a wood burning fire. In addition to the fully equipped kitchen the lodge has a BBQ and outdoor dining furniture on the covered deck for dining kiwi style!
